From our family to yours, we extend the warmest of welcomes to our site. Beau and I lead the team here at C.MAC— he as the builder and me as the designer. Our favorite work days are the ones we spend working side by side. We consider ourselves blessed to have been able to grow a business, as well as a family together. Reece, Aidan, and Lorén are our children, and they are the three most important reasons we understand the significance of creating the houses families call home.
Our story began nearly twenty years ago in Memphis, Tennessee. Beau was working with his father in their family’s business. And I was fresh out of college, working at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Our paths crossed one fair summer evening at a 5K charity run. And to tell the truth, that was the day I knew I’d met the man of my dreams.
It didn’t take long for life to bring me back home to Louisiana with a handsome husband from Memphis in tow. Since that first moment we met, we were inseparable. Looking back, I suppose that’s how the seeds of our joint careers were planted. We wanted to be together as often as possible, and we were willing to do whatever it took to make that happen. Five years of marriage and a couple of children later, we locked hands and leapt into the unchartered waters of our dream jobs—C.Mac Construction. We’ve been asked over and over where the name C.Mac came from. It’s very simple. Beau’s “real” name is Christopher and our last name is McDaniel, so…voila! C.Mac Construction.
There are dozens of reasons I could cite to explain why we build homes. But the most genuine reason is also the most obvious one. Every family home matters. It’s where our best memories are made, where our family meals are shared, where we lay our babies to rest each night. It’s where Christmas mornings happen. It’s the backdrop of our childhood memories. And it’s the haven we long for when life becomes turbulent.
In our family these things are paramount, and this is what gives our work meaningful purpose. We consider it a privilege and an honor to help create the houses our Acadiana families call home.
May your house always be a home!
